  • carrots are considered one of the best vegetables for the prevention of eye problems, therefore they are prescribed to improve vision,
  • micro- and macroelements have a beneficial effect on the condition of the skin and hair, therefore this tea is often used for cosmetic purposes,
  • vegetable stimulates appetite, is suitable as a means to improve digestion, therefore it is drunk against increased gas production,
  • has blood pressure lowering properties, therefore it is used by patients with hypertension,
  • has beneficial properties for the prevention of prostate disease.

Harm from carrot drink

If the recommended daily allowance is exceeded, carrot tea made from carrot tops and root vegetables can be harmful, especially if there are contraindications for the use of the main ingredient, including:

  • individual intolerance to carrots,
  • pregnancy and lactation period,
  • chronic diseases of the digestive system and duodenum, especially their aggravated conditions.

The permissible daily intake, which does not harm the body and is recommended by doctors, is 1 cup (up to 200 g) per day. If the above norm is exceeded, side effects are possible: attacks of nausea and vomiting, the appearance of a headache.

It is possible to prepare drying from a freshly harvested or dried plant. It is permissible to dry carrots in one of the following ways:

  • With the help of a special electric dryer designed for drying vegetables and fruits, where grated or cut into small pieces of root vegetable is placed.
